Hello to all! My name is Sally Kempfer and I am incredibly excited and honored to be the new Florida Cattlemen’s Sweetheart!
I thought I would start off by telling you a little bit about myself. Growing up as a sixth generation member of my family’s cow-calf operation, I have always had a passion for this industry and look forward to continuing my interest in my future career path. Throughout my childhood and high school years, I was active in working on the ranch and learning the ins and outs of beef production. I am currently in my junior year at the University of Florida pursuing my degree in Agricultural Education and Communication.
Following all of the COVID-19 closures, I was fortunate to “go back to work” working cows and riding my horse every day. I am thankful that school is back in session, however I was starting to really enjoy my classroom of green grass, lowing cattle, and afternoon thunderstorms.
I look forward to working alongside my fellow cattlemen and cattlewomen this year to grow in my knowledge of this industry and to step out to reach greater audiences. As an FCA Sweetheart, I would love to use this platform to connect with entry-level consumers. I understand what it is like to operate on a budget and seek that most wholesome, nutritious, and safe product. I am so excited to have this chance to promote the thing we all love… Beef! I cannot thank all of those who have supported me and continue to support me in this journey enough! I can already tell this is going to be a great year! If you ever need anything please do not hesitate to contact me! You can reach me by phone at (321)-480-1648 or by email at sallykempfer@ufl.edu.
Thank you and God bless,
Sally Kempfer
