Winston S. Churchill once said “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” As we have made it to December and the holidays draw near, I hope we all are reminded of the true meaning of the season.
Let us all be a loving example of Jesus’ love for us. Take time this month to enjoy the precious moments with loved ones, sit quietly and watch a sunset or sunrise, enjoy a stroll through Christmas lights, find a way to give back or help another person anonymously, and let your heart be filled with love toward others.
Join Florida CattleWomen as we support the National Wreath’s Across America Day on December 18, 2021. Make plans to volunteer at a cemetery to honor our fallen heroes or sponsor a wreath by visiting the FCW Facebook page.
Join us on January 8, 2022 for the FCW Fun Skeet Shoot and try to “out shoot a cattlewomen”! This event will be held at the Quail Creek Plantation in Okeechobee, FL. This fundraiser benefits the FCW youth scholarships. For more information, please contact Sarah Childs at (863) 441-0105.
The NCBA/ANCW National Convention is right around the corner and will be held Jan 31 – Feb 3, 2022 in Houston, TX. Florida’s very own Reba Mazak will be installed as the 2022 American National CattleWomen’s President. Make plans to attend this grand event and help support one of our very own.
May this holiday season be filled with much love, joy and happiness. On behalf of the Florida CattleWomen’s Executive Board, from our families to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and many blessings for a wonderful New Year!
