Hello!
Welcome to the year of 2022! I hope everyone had a great first month of the year!
On December 10th I was chosen to speak on behalf of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association, the University of Florida, and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences as the student speaker for the UF IFAS Dinner of Distinction. I was surrounded by the best and brightest Gator’s in the industry.
Following the Dinner of Distinction, I attended the Sam Tripson Memorial Porch Dedication and Ribbon Cutting. Sam was a UF grad, Secretary of Indian River County Cattlemen’s Association, and a member of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. Tripson’s Memorial Porch is a legacy of Sam’s passion for agriculture. It was an honor to be a part of this special moment for the University of Florida and Sam’s beautiful family.
The next item on my docket is Boots on the Hill in Tallahassee. I look forward to seeing what this legislative session has in store. I will report more next month on my experiences.
