Hello everyone!
It’s hard to believe another month has flown by. I hope this message finds everyone doing well and winding down after a fun and successful summer. Our association has been hard at work and things are really starting to amp up as Fall approaches.
Throughout the months of July and August I have had the opportunity to do some really neat things. I spent some time over lunch with our association’s royalty, Miss Shalynn Davis FCA Sweetheart. What a special young lady she is and is representing our association in a most excellent way. We had a great Florida Cattlemen’s Foundation meeting at the Florida State Fairgrounds, we really appreciate them for hosting us in Tampa. I was also able to attend our JFCA kickoff show, the “Hottest Show on Earth”, in Ocala. Where an impressive 250 exhibitors and 400 head of cattle competed. Thank you JFCA leaders and volunteers for all you do for our youth, they are our future!!! I also had the privilege to attend Hillsborough and Sumter County’s meetings. At the Hillsborough County event we recognized FCA Legislator of the Year, State Senator Jay Collins (see more on this event on page 74). It’s good to see so many people plugged into the association at the county level.
In closing, I would like to encourage everyone to attend our Fall Quarterly meeting in Brevard County, September 12-13, home county of our FCW President, Mrs. Eden Yarborough.
